"CONTACT" – universal retail product

Last Friday in Moscow International House of Music the Fourth International conference "CONTACT": new opportunities » has passed. In its work have taken part over 350 representatives of banks and financial companies - participants of system from Russia, CIS and other foreign countries.

Participants of " CONTACT " system have gathered to discuss new opportunities and prospects of development of joint business. Representatives of the System clearing center – JCB "RUSSLAVBANK" (Joint-Stock Company) have shared with participants experience in attraction of the mass consumer to the System services, have told about necessity and ways of increase of all its participants overall performance.
– " CONTACT " System is one of the leading systems in the Russian market and does much for development of this market segment, – has told the President of Association of Russian Banks Garegin Tosunjan at beginning of the conference.
This segment as the statistics of the Central Bank of Russia shows, develops rather actively.
– Money transfers without opening the account to Russia in 2005 have exceeded 1,5 billion dollars, – Lydia Troshina, the Deputy director of Department of the payments balance of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation has informed. – Transactions from Russia have made for the same period about 6 billion dollars. Their main part – more than 3,5 billion dollars – were carried out through money transfer systems. Thus the share of the Russian systems has made 55 % from overall number of transfers. That testifies to strengthening role of Russia in this sector.
– With the great pleasure, I can conclude that in conditions of a growing competition "CONTACT" System, as well as RUSSLAVBANK as a whole, annually practically doubles the parameters, – Chairman of subcommittee of the bank legislation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Pavel Medvedev has continued.
For last year the quantity of "CONTACT" network participants has considerably grown. Now the system unites 287 banks of Russia (almost a quarter bank systems), 79 foreign banks and 33 financial companies.
– The number of new service points grew at powerful rates, – President - Chairman of the Board of RUSSLAVBANK Nikolay Gousman has summed up year past from the moment of the last conference. – For a fiscal year only in Russia 150 new participants of a network have joined.
Main news of conference became the information that the "CONTACT" technology has developed from just money transfer system to universal retail product giving to the clients and partners a wide spectrum of payment services. More than fifty companies and the organizations accept payment for the services through system. Thus capacity of the Russian payments market, according to analysts of the system’s clearing center is at least in 6-8 times higher than the money transfers market.
– Our clients appreciate efficiency and convenience of credits repayment, – Financial Director of "RUSFINANCE" Morris Koljez has expressed the opinion. – it is necessary for us to know in time, that the client repays the credit and not remind it to him over and over again. Besides that, having divisions in Russian regions we are interested in service availability. All of this is in " CONTACT " system. Therefore system is our reliable partner.
